On Friday , July 18th we held our 4th Annual Writer's Workshop. More than 40 people attended with 7 presenters and  a waiting list as well.  Alice Stelzer gave an engaging presentation on writing a family history. Barbara Struna, a Brewster author, moderated a panel discussion of local memoir authors in the second part of the program. After a break for light refreshments provided by the Friends of the WDL, the group reassembled to hear Laura Shabott discuss her book and discuss self-publishing.  All the authors shared, signed and sold their books.  It was a very successful and enjoyable afternoon and a wonderful lead-in to our next workshop to be held in August on memoir writing.  Judy Lipkin will be speaking on Writing Your Own Life Story.  Since a picture is worth a thousand words...here are some pictures of the afternoon.

On  August 1 Julie Lipkin led a workshop on Writing Your Own Life Story.  Participants from the class are still meeting regularly at the library working on their own memoirs!
